Hello everyone, thanks for the feedback for my Discover London project, it helped to have other people tell me what they saw.
So I am basically posting all my projects as I go through and make the final changes I want to make for them. Here is a style guide that I did for Packaging, the assignment was to create shopping bags, a hang tag, stationary and a store front for a brand either made up or re-designed. I decided to re-design the Merona brand which is a brand of clothing within Target for men and women. I choose to display this as an entire style guide for the new company. It is an 8x8 inch square 12 page booklet. Let me know if there are any changes you all would suggest. Thank You!

Colleen - the color palette for this is unusual, subtle, and quite lovely. Feminine but not overly girlish. Really nice. Some thoughts:
ReplyDelete1. Have you considered using some imagery on your first spread? An image showing the target audience shopping, or a product shot of the clothes, or a photo of the inside of the store? The spread needs something more, especially in contrast to the other spreads that hold quite a lot of elements.
2. Page 10 holds your brand projects, but they seem to be quite close to the margins. Reduce them all just as they are, and allow the negative space to frame them.
3. Have you considered a back cover, small, centered image? Something with a splash of color to give this important page sparkle?
Nice work
