Hey guys so here is my redesign of project 4. Ive tried to make every page consistent with each other.
i add some color triangle to the cover and the back image so ties up well. And finally i just found a quote of Mr.McDonough and put it in the middle of the bars.

colors look great, back cover it looks like that girl is about to be eaten by a purple bird.
ReplyDeleteOn the first one I would move the bottom text into the middle and lower it some more and I agree with the bird comment
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing this brochure as an example when I took this class after you, so I remember what the cover used to look like with out all the added shapes... I like how you have incorporated in the front and back cover but I think they are a little overpowering on the front. They are pretty dark in some places, like over the tree, so maybe a few can be removed? I think they work really well on the back cover how they are.
ReplyDeleteOverall, I think the inside pages are well balanced with negative space working well between the pages in each spread. Love the color palette too!
Jose - you have gone crazy.
ReplyDeleteJust kidding, but yes - you have gone too far with the cover. Back off - in my opinion, the only place for an angled shape that doesn't interfere with your great composited image would be behind the logo - very subtly pointing to the building. Subtle is the operative word.
Back cover - no purple bird please. The type "Eliminate the Concept of Waste" is too large - and looks added at the last moment. So... back up and reduce and reposition those words. That's all this layout needed.
