Project 8 Re-Work

Hey everyone here is my rework of my che revolution poster i added some information in cursive about che history that i found online. I also added and old photo to the silhouette of the black photo. I added the quote in english and a map.

Last Project Decision

Hey guys so I talked a bit about my dilemna with Coni during class, but basically I need to decide which project to include in my portfolio.

The first one:  Evofresh is project done in a concept design class in which the process book- with the full concept became the project. A guide explainig the product, I will re-do the sketches for this so that they are clear and look nicer, it is also a book shaped like the hour glass and will flip from the top.  This is also yet another booklet and I already have a lot of booklets

The second one: Holiday Cards - they are all holiday cards that I have been doing the past month, I edited them to all have red and black/white photos. The ones with the same picture of the four girls, I will find another stock photo to place in the re-used ones. I will also find a mockup to showcase these and the backs, perhaps a pile, or a fanned out circle?

I do really like the cards and I think they look uniformed, I also do invitations, announcments etc right now and that is currently more than half of my freelance busienss as a student- so I think adding it into my portfolio would be a nice relevant element.

Let me know what you guys think is a more succesful piece for my portfolio.

Project 8-9 Critique

Project 8

So everyone This my che poster. I made this poster when i was learning about photoshop in North Shore Community College. We were told to create revolution poster and i made one about the man that i think is the most revolutionist of them all che guevara. I picked this abstractive look because i wanted to represent the time era of the cuban revolution. i wanted to show that it wasn't pretty during that era. I also wanted to do something different by doing this abstractive look. The quote in stand in english  " Better to walk barefoot than rob in sandals.", and this  quote truly represent what che guevara was to the people of cuban.























Project 9

So this project is a two part project. The first part of this long project was to create a advertising for and exciting company. The second part was to take the advertising and push it and turn it into a concept.

First part.
The company i show's was apple computer to the advertising for, and what i wanted to show is my representation or old meets new. I think, I accomplish that  by using a old painting called the school of athens and adding apple ipad product to the student and teachers. I also added catchy headlines "They got theirs, where is your" that i think it goes well with the ad.

Second part.
 This part were i push the advertising and turn it to a concept. What i did is turn this concept into the ipad app store, but this is no ordinary app store this app store has a an ad  when use the ipad landscape and you are in the app store the ad will show, but if you use the ipad in portrait the ad will go away. I am also pushing the concept by making ad the app store icon.

New project 5 Bulto Package Design

Hello guys, so since i was requested to change my project 5 The Blue eye Giant poem last week during class, i have decided to changed it to a project that i currently finishing for my packaged design class. We were ask to created a Branding for an apparel company, it could be any product and rebrand it in a clever way. In the final we should have to present a logo, a product bag and a product Tag and finally a mock up of a website.

My product company is a backpack company and it called Bulto backpack.co. Bulto stand for Bag in spanish. The target audience are ages between 16-35. I show to do a scripted logo, because when i searching the competitors  most of them had scripted logo, but most of their logo where unreadable and to long. I went with great looking image of  the lake and the trees and the mounting to show the audience that the bag could support the terrain. Finally i went with minimalis  color to show the cleanness of the product.

Project 7 Re-touch Watchmen movie poster

Hey guys sorry it took a long time to upload this one, but here is my retouch of project 7, i had a difficult time coming up on how to make it my own, so i went back and watch the movie again to get new feeling and perspective and i got this feeling of space destroying everything. So i came up with crazy idea of implementing space into the design, by implementing space i also had to find a way of combining the city so what did sins shooting start and rain look a like i did white line in photoshop and just motion blur on the direction that i felt comfortable showing it.Finally i just played around with the Text maid "True Face" bigger.

Menu

Here is that drink menu I was working on when we sequenced my book! I added a touch of color throughout the inside and created my own icons as well for the drinks. It is a trifold. The name of the bar is "cedar street" so I wanted to add some wood accents.

First revision of projec 6

Hey everyone here is a look of my first revision of project 6. I changed the Letter S to a regular typeface S which was helvetica regular typeface. I also took out the word now. I played around main text moving it around to see if can come up with a interested chape with the grid and i came up with this negative pace in the middle. I also pick out this great colors from a  website called coolors.co which is a color picker website like kuler.

Re-work PJ 5

 Hey everyone here is my Re-work of project 5, i cleaned up the illustration, i took all of the black and try to use color as a replacement of black. Also i played around with the title so giant will be in one place. I added more clouds to the illustration and also changed the illustration of the miniature woman.

First revision of pj 5

Hello guys here is my first attempt of project 5. This is a poem book that when you open completely there will be a poster on the back. The feedback i got in class was to add more cloud and ad blue on the text side. So what i done so far was added the blue on the text side,  but i  also changed the color of the text to white to represent clouds and yellow to represent sunlight.

I was wondering if i should clean the illustration up a bit what do you guy think.

Concert rework

Rework of the weakest poster from a couple weeks ago. The music is more of an ambient drone riff, i felt the spiraling lines better represented the image and the music itself. Oddly enough, it looks as if the image has a border but it doesn't.

Three Horses rework

Made a few changes, all body copy is 12pt with 20pt leading. I didn't make any changes to the front or back cover. I felt I could get a bit heavier with these since the inside content is so bright.

Hallissey Design Buisness Cards

Hello, so I am planning on ordering my business cards by the end of day tomorrow and figured I would re-post them for some last minute feedback. I am going to use the variable printing to incorporate my logo against one (of 3) of my colors on my color palate. Any last minute tweaks/suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You!

Ad Campaign

Here is my latest idea for my Valspar Ad Campaign. I will bring it in actually folded up to our next class but it is a mailer.

As most of you remember probably I did 3 ads for Valspar with the tagline "Exactly what you were looking for" ... this piece is based on "For the Artist in You" tagline. This piece would be folded up and mailed quarterly to households and each time it would focus on a different era in art, this one is based on Post-Impressionist Era (1880-1910) and inside you will see parts of the art pieces along with Valspar colors that can be found within the piece... they are presented as the "Post Impressionist Collection" I will make 3 more once the design is laid out that focus on different art eras. There is also a contest tied into it to give a call to action to the audience.

self branding

hey everyone, here is a look of my self branding, I've been working on self branding sins last quarter. I wanted to create a personal identity that  represented  where i came from to where i am going. So this past summer my aunt came to visit to the U.S.A for the first time and i found out that she was the one who wrote my name in my birth certificate, so i asked her to write it again and this is how i came concept of my logo which it represent where i came from. To show where i am going it was pretty simple i travel everyday on subway to get into the greats city in the world, so i had found this great image on a free stock website and i ask permission to use it .

But truly i am thinking of pushing this branding some more by taking a picture of different place in boston and placing them in the brand so that when i give a business card to someone it would be a different place.

 

Re-Design of project 4

Hey guys so here is my redesign of project 4. Ive tried to make every page consistent with each other.
i add some color triangle to the cover and the back image so ties up well. And finally i just found a quote of Mr.McDonough and put it in the middle of the bars.

Three Horses

So this is my identity piece. I've updated since last time, it's missing something though. I might make some icons to accompany the overview and the ingredients under the bottles. Let me know what you guys think.
