I absolutely love this piece! The first thing I thought was how powerful it was with black and white images in the background so I think the last two pages look a little out of place with the colorful photos, I think the photo could still work if you just turn it black and white.
Tristan, I agree with Amanda and have a few more thoughts:
First - a 10 page brochure cannot be produced. The page count must be a multiple of 4, so I encourage you to add 2 more pages to the project.
I notice that your text columns are a consistent width - except for page 3, which is a bit wider. Please reduce the width, so your pages do use a consistent grid structure... this is important because the only elements on your pages tend to be a photo and this text block, putting more emphasis on the details of things like line widths.
Colors - your cover holds a b/w image, pages 2/3 hold an almost monochrome image with a hint of color, 4/5 and 6/7 hold beautiful b/w images, 7/8 and 9 hold washed-out desaturated images. Hmmm... too many different approaches for this length project. The bl/wh images you have are really great photos, but so is that subtle colored image on 2/3. I think combining these 2 approaches could certainly work... but when we come to the full color images at the end that is when the inconsistency becomes a problem.
So - please rethink the use of color saturated images. And, I don't think desaturating a full color photo will work... it will just look dull. Your next step - image research to find the perfect images to compliment your family of photos.
CON+GO - the most successful use of this logo is seen on page 9, in my opinion. The brighter color is more energetic, and appropriate for a non-profit that does the hard work of conservation. And, I think this brighter color will work more successfully with the b/w and subtle-colored images as a counterpoint... a splash of color.
Cover - it is a repeat of an inside photo. Can you find a different image to use for the cover, so we don't see it so soon. If this project were a book, then using an interior image for the cover is perfectly fine... but not when we see it only a few pages away.
This has great potential - a wonderful piece for your portfolio.
