updated menu design

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback of the previous version of the menu... here is my revised version!

  1. Amanda - I suggest you print this out ASAP and trim/fold it. When you open the cover, you will see the fold-in panel at right across from the left-hand inside page.

You need to ask yourself if these 2 panels compliment each other... what do they share in terms of alignment, color, and design approach? This is my way of suggesting that the inside and outside of this design still seems too disconnected, too different. I'm not convinced that the angled rules placed at the corners do the job of unifying these 2 very different designs.

The clever diagonal rule that slices into the type in the logo is what we first see on the cover. Is there another opportunity to approach a line of type in the same way? I wonder if you might think about moving the words Drink Menu from the cover to the inside (I think it would actually strengthen the cover to remove it from there).

Is there a way that you can use that diagonal rule with the words Drink Menu? Be bold with it, and surround it with negative space so the inside is as contemporary as the cover.

Note: In my opinion, the logo does not work well placed inside of a circle. It works very well as it appears on the cover. Do you really need any of these circles? It seems like your logo suggests a tall thin rectangular shape, and could sit in one if you really needed it to be enclosed.
