Concert rework

Rework of the weakest poster from a couple weeks ago. The music is more of an ambient drone riff, i felt the spiraling lines better represented the image and the music itself. Oddly enough, it looks as if the image has a border but it doesn't.

  1. This feels like a very subtle yet expressive (oxymoron I know) set of posters. On this one the circles are the focal point for me and then I sink into the photo and it takes me a few seconds to discover what is in the photo, then I continue to the text and have to read all the text (not scan) to figure out the information. I am not sure if that is your intention for someone to see this flyer but I think it is unique and more engaging than any other flyer that tends to be designed for quick scanned view (my opinion/experience). I just think you nailed it on the head with making the reader really look at this flyer to discover the meaning/elements if that makes sense!

  2. Yes, I agree with Colleen - you have found a way to express the music in a visual way that allows us to "feel" the music now.

Your first poster used a monotone (or was it a blue duotone?)... and I wonder how these posters work together? Should the first one use a subtle 4/c photo like this one? Or should there be a 3rd poster that uses a saturated 4/c photo... and through the series we will see the wide contrast in the music reflected in the use of color. Something to think about.
