Here is that drink menu I was working on when we sequenced my book! I added a touch of color throughout the inside and created my own icons as well for the drinks. It is a trifold. The name of the bar is "cedar street" so I wanted to add some wood accents.

Amanda - do you really like this handwriting font? The logo is very minimalist... and yet this crazy bad handwriting is anything but! It seriously competes with your logo... without supporting it at all. Just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need to repeat the logo and address on the inside (definitely makes sense on the back cover). Consider adding some food items instead... since most bars in most cities require food be sold along with drinks.
The outside and inside appear to be different projects... how you can unify them? Pull in the wood grain somewhere... stripes instead of circles would add contrast as well as unity!
Nice beginning, keep thinking.
Really enjoy the colors you've chosen, I do agree to rethink the handwritten font though. Something a little more sleek. I don't think you need to add any food since this is just a drink menu, which is usually separate from the food menu anyways. I think what would really tie the outside and inside together is incorporating the pink black and wood circles you have on the bottom right, onto the front. That with a more modern typeface could be a step forward.
