Hallissey_Resume Design

Hi Everyone,
So here is my resume design. I have been struggling with finding a right design for my stationary and once I get the resume design down I am going to base the rest of my stationary kit off of it because I want them all to be unified. The first 3 are the front and the bottom 2 are the backs, I think I have already decided on the white back with the logo and simple color blocks but that could change with the front design choice. I look forward to hearing what you guys have to say on which design choice works best.

Thanks!

  1. I honestly really like the white background version with the first resume I like the way your logo flows smoothly in place. The gray one just seems like to much and the middle one looks to plain in terms of layout but it also looks simple which can also be good

  2. Colleen, In class we spoke about this, and I suggested (like Rey) that the first layout might be the best to continue working with. Reducing the heading (and also some internal parts of it) would help introduce some neg space at the top, which is needed.

I also thought the flooded blue background on the backside was interesting, and would be easily translated to your business cards. You mentioned your concern about using the amount of blue ink there... and I commend you for your concern about resource use. However - design is "what we do" and we search for the best visual solution we can find. THEN, the matter of how to reproduce this in an efficient way is something to seriously consider. Using recycled stock (like with Moo.com) is one way to be conscience and respectful of resource use. Other options will appear in the future as well.

Also - most ink is soy-based these days, so the press clean up isn't as toxic as it used to me.

  3. I agree with Coni and Rey... the first resume and I do like the blue backing as well! It will make you stand out and that look could be translated to a lot of other branding your pieces you create.
